Mentorship Program — smiling alien with a tilted crown in a flying saucer
Why mentorship

More classes are not always the missing piece.

When you already train but are unsure what deserves your attention, mentorship gives your practice a direction. The goal is not to collect more material. It is to understand your dancing well enough to know what to work on next.

Diagnose

Notice recurring limitations in technique, timing, connection, movement quality or decision-making.

Prioritize

Choose a small number of useful priorities so your practice has a purpose instead of becoming a list of disconnected exercises.

Integrate

Revisit the work through individual coaching, guided practice, group training and real social dancing, then adjust the plan as your needs change.

How the monthly membership works

Capacity: the mentorship is currently limited to 30 active students, keeping the coaching personal and the community close. Admission is selective and depends on fit and available places.

Pause: you can ask to pause your subscription when you need time away. Because places are limited, availability when returning depends on current capacity.

Monthly use: included sessions and group benefits are intended for the month in which they are offered. Unused sessions do not automatically accumulate or create future credit. Gab may make exceptions when appropriate.

Refunds: there is no blanket no-refund rule. If something unusual happens, contact Gab and the situation can be handled individually, subject to applicable law.

Private learning environment

Your training continues between sessions.

See your current training priorities, find your assigned practice and revisit earlier material. Your progress and resources stay together in your member space.

A core part of mentorship

  • Training
  • Personal guidance
  • Belonging

Your dancing grows.
Your circle does too.

We keep the mentorship small so Gab can give each student personal attention, and you can get to know the people you train with. Find a practice partner and feel part of a crew when you walk into class or a social.

Find your practice people

Share your availability, neighborhood and dance focus in ECHO, our member conversation space. Other students can reply and make a plan with you.

Learn something together

Find someone interested in sharing a private lesson, or bring the same question to practice. Confirm any shared lesson format, price and booking with Gab.

Have someone to show up with

Ask for a welcome buddy, invite the crew to a dance social, or suggest coffee and a walk. Small invitations make it easier to get to know each other.

Time together beyond training

We’re introducing a rhythm of two optional get-togethers each month: a relaxed hangout after a Sunday group class, and another activity on a separate day. Think coffee, a walk, board games or a shared night out.

Gab or his assistant coordinates the plans. Check ECHO announcements for confirmed dates, places and costs. Mentorship pricing stays the same; students cover their own outing expenses. Join when it works for you.

Mentorship Referral Reward

Help the community grow. Earn an extra Kinesthetic Practice class.

If you refer a dancer who joins the Mentorship Program and completes three paid months, you receive one Kinesthetic Practice class free.

1. Refer

Tell a dancer about the mentorship and ask them to mention your name when they join.

2. They complete 3 paid months

The referral qualifies after their third paid month is completed.

3. Your reward

You earn one free Kinesthetic Practice class. Each qualifying referral earns one reward.

Included in your mentorship experience

Your lesson is
only the beginning.

Bring your questions to Gab. Keep exploring between sessions with Zoukable, then follow your coach-reviewed discoveries through Zouk Atlas. Two connected spaces, built around the same teaching approach.

01 · Your practice studio

Zoukable

Give your practice a place to grow.

  • Find your rhythm. Explore three-step patterns, adjust the tempo, and see where each step sits in the music.
  • Keep track of your effort. Record practice and reflections, and return to the drills your coach makes available.
  • Make it yours. Choose a little explorer and build a personal craft through practice XP.

02 · Your universe of movement

Zouk Atlas

See how your learning connects.

  • Discover your own map. Concepts become visible as Gab or Steph reviews what you explore in your lessons.
  • Remember what mattered. Revisit saved session notes, practice priorities, and the ideas behind each star.
  • Stay connected to your crew. Find your member hub and ECHO conversations, with your personal journey alongside the shared mentorship ship.

One teaching approach · Two connected worlds

Learn together. Practice independently. Reconnect.

  1. 01Find a focus with Gab

Use your lesson to ask questions and choose what matters now.

  2. 02Explore in Zoukable

Work with rhythm, available practice, and your own reflections.

  3. 03Return to your Atlas

Revisit coach-recorded discoveries and bring new questions to your next session.

Zoukable can also be used independently. Mentorship brings these tools into an ongoing coaching relationship. Practice XP reflects effort; discoveries and assessments come from reviewed learning, not points alone. The curriculum continues to develop.

Before you join

You do not need to know exactly what is wrong with your dancing.

Start by telling Gab what you want to feel more capable of doing. The first conversation is there to clarify the problem together and decide whether ongoing mentorship is the right format.

1. Share your goal

Tell Gab about your experience and what you want to improve. A few sentences are enough.

2. Discuss the fit

Discuss your goals, the Sunday group sessions and how to use your individual training time.

3. Agree on your plan

Arrange your individual sessions and confirm the venue, payment and cancellation terms before enrolling.

Before your first step

A few useful answers.

Get a clearer sense of the next step, then bring your own questions to Gab.

How is this different from a Tuesday class membership?

Mentorship includes monthly individual coaching, kinesthetic practice, Sunday group classes and the member learning spaces. Tuesday memberships are separate plans for Tuesday Zouk classes. Active mentorship members receive 15% off Tuesday drop-ins and bundles.

What will I use Zoukable and Atlas for?

Zoukable supports rhythm exploration and practice. Atlas connects your coach-reviewed discoveries, session notes and practice priorities. See both learning spaces above. Practice XP reflects effort; it does not automatically certify skills or unlock coach assessments.

Do I need a partner? Are social outings included in the price?

You can use ECHO to look for a practice partner, someone interested in a shared private lesson, or a buddy for a dance social. Connections depend on member interest and availability. Social outings are optional and paid for individually; the mentorship price stays unchanged. Shared private lessons require separate confirmation with Gab.

When and where does the training happen?

Group training is on the second and fourth Sundays, 1–3 PM New York time. Arrange your private coaching and Kinesthetic Practice Session with Gab. Confirm the Sunday venue and your individual session locations with him.

Why is mentorship selective?

The program is currently limited to 30 active students. That keeps the coaching personal and the community close. Admission depends on whether the mentorship fits your goals and whether a place is available. Your application starts that conversation with Gab.

Does applying enroll me or create a member account?

No. Your application starts a conversation about fit. Agree on your plan and enrollment details with Gab. Member account access is handled separately; preparing the application does not create an account or take a payment.

Application

Tell Gab what you want to work on.

A selective mentorship, limited to 30 students. Tell Gab about your dancing to discuss fit and availability. Applying does not guarantee a place, enroll you or take a payment.

  1. 1. Tell us about your dancing
  2. 2. Review your answers
  3. 3. Send to Gab

Review your answers before sending them directly to Gab. You can also use WhatsApp or email. Preparing the review sends nothing. Fields marked * are required.

A few sentences are enough. For example: feeling more comfortable adapting to different partners.
Give the name Gab knows them by, not their private contact details. Gab will confirm the referral. Your referrer earns one free Kinesthetic Practice session after you complete three paid mentorship months.
Add more context (optional)

Your application is sent to Gab Lacarriere LLC to discuss fit and next steps. Read our privacy notice and booking policies.
