Training develops the principles underneath the dance: connection, body organization, timing, pathways, transitions and the ability to adapt in real social dancing. The objective is not only to reproduce a sequence, but to understand enough of its structure that it becomes reusable.
These weekly classes are for dancers with prior experience. Contact Gab if you are unsure whether the level fits you.
Develop combinations, transitions, musical choices and adaptable movement vocabulary.
Train precision, decision-making, connection quality and transferable movement principles.
Gab Lacarriere began teaching Brazilian Zouk in France in 2017–2018 and now teaches in New York City. His background as a school teacher and his master's degree in pedagogy shape the way he explains movement, gives feedback and helps dancers practice.
Tuesday training is intermediate+. If you are new to Brazilian Zouk, tell Gab about your experience before joining. Private Zouk lessons in NYC offer individual attention to your starting point and goals.
